Description
Each AZILEX capsule contains Azithromycin 250mg as the active ingredient. Azithromycin
belongs to a group of medicines called macrolide antibiotics and is used to treat bacterial
infections.
AZILEX is used to treat the following infections and is a suitable alternative to penicillins in
hypersensitive patients: Throat infections e.g. tonsillitis, pharyngitis and sinus infections, chest
infections, such as bronchitis and pneumonia, ear infections, skin and soft tissue infections, Sexually transmitted diseases caused by an organism called Chlamydia.
